Lancaster Olde Tyme Christmas

There is no snow, but Santa is coming to Olde Tyme Christmas on Dec 1 at Town Hall. While children wait for Santa the Lions Club will be offering vision screening and after visiting Santa The Lancaster Rotary Club will be giving each child a book.
Many other things are also happening that night. Children can come to the Welcome Center and decorate cookies baked in Santa’s own oven at Santa’s Village. Horse driven hay wagons will be riding around to climb on and have a fun trip. The wagons will be loading in the municipal parking lot in front of the Welcome Center. Over at the Passumpsic Bank the cheery staff will be serving Apple crisp to one and all. Pop into our newest restaurant the GRANITE GRIND on Main Street and help your child send a letter to Santa. We have been told that Santa will respond. IF you are in a shopping mood, and who isn’t, visit our vendors and crafters at Lancaster Town Hall and at Colonel Town gym to purchase unique gifts for one and all. Many of our Main Street businesses will be open to welcome you and serve up some cheer.
You probably won’t have time to cook supper.. SO there are several options for you. The Lancaster Lions Club will be in their usual spot, Smokin’ T’s will be at Town Hall , Bruno’s Wood Fired Pizza will be set up in the Municipal parking lot and the Heart and Sole Mates relay for life team in their usual spot at Colonel Town.
Be sure to stop by and pose for a picture with the Class of 2018 and warm your hands by the Boy Scouts’ Fire at the vacant lot on Main Street. Look for Toy’s for Tots boxes and bring a new toy to brighten a child’s Christmas. Peter Powell Real Estate is accepting mittens for the Mitten Tree and Weeks Memorial Library is hosting a Gingerbread House Contest.( Call the library 788-3352 for entry information.)
Many individuals and businesses have contributed to make this and other events hosted by the Lancaster Renaissance a good time for everyone.
