BATH LIBRARY BOOK CLUB DISCUSSES “MARCH”

  • Bath Public Library Bath, NH (map)

From Louise May Alcott’s beloved classic “Little Women”, Geraldine Brooks has taken the character of the absent father, march, who has gone off to war, leaving his wife and daughters to make do in mean times. As March recovers from a near mortal illness, he must reassemble his shattered mind and body and find a way to reconnect with a wife and daughters who have no idea of the ordeals he has been through. Books may be picked up at the Bath Library; hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:00am to noon and 1:00pm to 5:00pm and Saturdays 9:00am to noon. Anyone with an interest in reading and conversing about books is welcome to attend. For  more information, contact the library at 603 747-3372 or email interlibraryloan@together.net.
